This is a picture taken early 2005. We are in a community house close to a temple in Thiruporur and my duaghter receives her first ritual shave. No crying whatsoever. 

Chicago

This is around Christmas 2004 in our house in Wetsmond, close to Chicago. Shakthi was about half a year old. We were living out of boxes, Shakthi enjoyed the space! 

Laurel Canyon Trail

Because the weather was good (no rain & not much clouds) this morning (8am) I was able to convince myself to go for a walk. I was at Wildcat peak at about 9.40 am. We (my wife) planned to go for shoppnig in the afternoon, so I wasn't able to do a long loop. I decided to go towards the Nimitz way and go down via the Laurel Canyon Trail. At a certain moment, the trail goes off down a steep hill with some trees and a number of switchbacks and ends up at a small stream, seen here.

Yesh and Ayush

Sharada (not shown), Praveen, Yesh and Ayush came to visit us while on their way to Santa Clara.

This is our winter clothing. That and an umbrella. 

Vegetable rice

Shakthi is nowadays eating by herself without making an enormous mess.
It is not allways easy to convince her that she should stay at the table though. She has a preference for food items that have nice geometric shapes and therefor likes to eat peas (can i want the ball please?)

(FYI we actually did not visit this, it was on the way to our restaurant where we had amazingly (and over priced) sushi somewhere in Kawasaki).
